Privacy Policy

This policy explains what happens to the information you send us through this website, and how to get in touch about it.

Introduction

Jain Cooking Catering & Services is a pure vegetarian catering business based in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India. This policy describes how we handle information submitted through this website.

It covers the enquiry and contact forms on the site. Conversations you have with us afterwards by phone, WhatsApp or email, and anything agreed as part of a booking, sit outside this page.

Information we may collect

We collect what you choose to type into our forms. Depending on which form you use and how much of it you fill in, that may include:

  • Your name
  • Your phone number
  • Your email address
  • The type of event you are planning
  • The event date, if you have one
  • An approximate guest count
  • The event location or venue, as you describe it
  • Food preferences, including Jain or no onion, no garlic requirements
  • Catering requirements such as meal type, cuisines or service style
  • Any message or additional detail you write yourself

What we do not collect

This website does not collect payment card or bank details. If you create an account, it stores your account details, event plans, menu selections and submitted quote requests. Account passwords are stored as cryptographic hashes.

If anyone ever asks you for card or bank details through a form on this website, it is not us.

How we may use your information

We use what you send us in order to:

  • Respond to your catering enquiry
  • Understand what your event needs
  • Prepare a quote and discuss menu options with you
  • Communicate with you about the catering you asked about
  • Improve this website and the enquiry process
  • Identify and prevent spam or misuse of our forms

We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not send marketing messages on the strength of an enquiry. If we ever introduce anything of that kind it will be something you opt into knowingly, and this policy will be updated before it starts.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Enquiry and contact forms

Our quote form and contact form exist so that you can tell us about an event and we can reply. Information you submit through either one is used to respond to that enquiry.

Both forms include a hidden field that is never shown to you and should always stay empty. It is there to catch automated spam, and it is the only part of the form you do not fill in yourself.

What you send is stored in our own database so that we can answer it. It is not passed to a form provider, a marketing tool or any other third party.

If a submission cannot be delivered, the form says so rather than showing a confirmation, and offers you our phone number instead.

Your account

You can create an account to keep your contact details in one place. An account is optional - the quote and contact forms work without one, and always will.

An account stores your name, your email address, the password you chose, and a phone number and preferred name if you add them. Your password is stored only as a cryptographic hash, which means we cannot read it and neither can anyone who obtained a copy of our database.

Creating an account does not attach any enquiry you sent us before to it. Enquiries sent through the public forms stay separate, even if they used the same email address.

Signing in sets one cookie on your device, which is what keeps you signed in. Signing out removes it. See the section below.

Cookies and analytics

This section reflects how the website is configured today, and is updated whenever that changes.

This website does not run analytics, advertising or tracking scripts.

Cookies are used on this website for the following purposes:

  • Keeping you signed in to your account. This cookie is only set when you sign in, it is removed when you sign out, and it expires after 30 days of not being used.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Parts of the site may behave differently if you do.

Third-party services

Running a website means relying on other services. These are the ones that may handle information connected with this site:

Website hosting
The website is served by a hosting provider, which processes technical information such as IP addresses and browser details in the course of delivering pages and keeping the service running. The provider has not been finalised and will be named here once it is.

How long we keep information

We keep enquiry information for as long as is reasonably necessary to respond to you, to carry out any catering you go on to book, and to keep ordinary business records.

We have not set fixed retention periods, and we would rather say so than publish a number we do not actually work to. If you would like us to delete the details you sent, please ask and we will.

Looking after your information

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us and to limit who can see it.

No website or method of transmission can be guaranteed completely secure, and we do not claim otherwise. Please avoid sending anything sensitive through a website form - including any payment or bank details, which we will never ask for here.

Your choices, and how to reach us

If you want to know what you sent us, correct it, or have it deleted, contact us and we will help. The same applies if you would simply rather we stopped contacting you about an enquiry.

Please use the same name and the same phone number or email address you enquired with, so that we can find the right enquiry.
